From November 17 to December 4, the 63rd Münchner Bücherschau will take place in a hybrid format. Fabrik19 is supporting the organizer as their technology partner this year as well. The interactive online book platform, which was developed by us and has also been used in the past two years, will be used again in 2022. As always, the online exhibition is available without registration and free of charge.

Ongoing optimization of the digital platform of the Münchner Bücherschau
After each Bücherschau, new insights and ideas allow us to adapt the platform even better to the user’s and our customer’s needs. For this, we work in close cooperation with the organizer. This is how we were able to further optimize the online platform after the Münchner Bücherschau in 2021. Since events will only take place on site this year, we could place our focus entirely on the book exhibitions themselves. Plus, the online format enables guests who cannot be there to browse through classic novels, new releases and much more.
The technical details of the online platform
As usual, Strapi serves as the content management system for the exhibitors. It was particularly important for all those involved that all exhibitors have the possibility to manage their content themselves. Combined with other interfaces for relevant information and an attractive front end, the platform is an optimal technical basis for this year’s Bücherschau. Overall, based on the experience we have gained over the past few years, we can provide a platform that is best tailored to the needs of the target group.
Wants and needs taken into account
“Just like every year, the collaboration with Fabrik19 went really well. Our wishes and the end user’s needs are taken into account at all times, and the software company has the necessary technical expertise. Therefore, this cooperation is particularly important to us, even beyond the pandemic, which first led to us working on the platform together. We appreciate them very much as a technology partner,” summarizes Friederike Eickelschulte, who is responsible for designing and coordinating the adult program at the Münchner Bücherschau.
“The Bücherschau is a cherished project for us. Accompanying it as the technology partner is simply fun! And the coordination with the team around Friederike Eickelschulte is optimal. This way, we always reach our goal together – even if it gets stressful shortly before the opening.”
