Shopping by appointment: The debate about loosening retail regulations is omnipresent. Some states want to reopen stores to individual customers. If appointment shopping comes, however, stores need a simple, inexpensive tool to offer “click and meet.” For example, “ontever” – the smart solution for digital appointment scheduling from Fabrik19, developed with the support of Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG).
“ontever” is much more than an online calendar: The user can book his appointments without any problems, the responsible employee/retailer has a clear presentation of all appointments and at the same time the possibility to plan capacities in the best possible way.
The length of each purchase as well as the number of parallel possible appointments can also be specified or limited in advance, so that only as many customers are actually in the store as are allowed. Since every user has to enter his contact details when booking, Corona tracking is also possible afterwards without having to fill out forms on site.
Easy integration on websites and apps
In addition to integration on websites, digital appointment booking can also be integrated into an app. The potential uses of “ontever” extend beyond the retail sector. Digital appointment scheduling can be used in administrative offices as well as by service providers or in the healthcare sector. For example, the product is already in use at the city of Giessen in the “city office” area, has established itself here and works with hundreds and hundreds of appointments a day. “For us as a city, it was important that the online appointment system be intuitive and easy to use for our employees and citizens. ontever was easy to integrate into our website via iFrame. We are already planning to introduce ontever in other departments as well,” says Sabrina Bechtle, Project Management and Citywide Organizational Development at the City of Giessen, giving an insight into the practice.
Software as a service
ontever” is a “Software as a Service” package. This means that no investment costs are necessary. In fact, a small one-time setup fee and a flat service fee per appointment are called for. Another advantage: If the stores open in a few days, assuming that appointments are made, “ontever” is already ready for use and can be launched with two days’ notice.
